ABOUT DEBRA

When I grew up I did many things, from acting in The Haight Ashbury Theatre Company to booking comedians for performances at San Francisco’s famed The Other Cafe and The Improvisation Comedy Clubs throughout the country. I loved acting and studying characters, but I didn’t love getting up on stage and performing, so I became a talent coordinator for stand-up comedy. This job was perfect for me. I could sit and observe comedians and use my creativity selecting performers for a show. I worked with many famous comedians from San Francisco to Los Angeles and I learned that I love to laugh...a lot!
My next job would be my most challenging and rewarding. I became a mother. This job required me to use everything I had learned, and then some. Being a mother helped me find my soul—I learned to feel much more deeply than ever before. I am proud to be the mother of two wonderful, lively kids, Cole and Stella.
