Everything I am, my ability to observe, solve problems, be creative, and never, ever give up came from both my parents (and maybe a little from Pippi too).

I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up! Many of my writer-friends knew they wanted to be writers from the time they were very young. But I was going to have to journey down many paths before I began writing children’s picture books.
